The Carmel Jewish Film Festival is held on the Monterey Peninsula, just minutes away from some of the most desirable tourist destinations in the world: the scenic Monterey coastline, the Carmel Valley wine region, picturesque trails along the coast and through the hills of Big Sur, and a myriad of art galleries in Carmel-by-the Sea. Visit the Monterey Bay Aquarium, drive along spectacular 17-Mile Drive in Pebble Beach, and be sure to dine at many of our area’s fine restaurants. Enjoy!

Carmel-by-the-Sea

With designer shopping, an amazing collection of art galleries, boutiques, hotels, fine restaurants, homes ranging from quaint cottages to estates, and a pristine white sand beach, Carmel offers something for everyone. Breathtaking scenery and the historic Carmel Mission contribute to its storybook ambience.

Pacific Grove

Located on the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary, Pacific Grove offers perfect spots for kayaking or surfing. Attractions range from historic buildings like the Point Pinos Lighthouse to breathtaking slices of nature, such as the Monarch Grove Sanctuary for migrating butterflies and the Shoreline Park network. The town has a classic main street and a warm hometown feel.

Monterey

Walk the Path of History to see buildings that remain from Monterey’s Spanish Colonial and Early California history: old adobes; San Carlos Cathedral; Old Custom House; and Colton Hall, California's first state capitol. Enjoy the outstanding Monterey Bay Aquarium, shop for antiques along Cannery Row, and dine overlooking the bay at Fisherman’s Wharf.

Big Sur

Big Sur’s breathtaking scenery has provided inspiration to photographers, painters, writers, and musicians. Cliffs, rocks, redwoods, beach, and surf together create a magical experience at the edge of the continent. Hiking trails range from tranquil walks by a coastal waterfall at Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park to rugged wilderness treks in the Los Padres National Forest.

Carmel Valley

Minutes from the Monterey Peninsula is the sublimely pastoral Carmel Valley. Experience Carmel Valley Village, with its fine dining, art galleries, and antiques shops. Discover our celebrated wine country and enjoy its award-winning wines. Hike the trails of Garland Ranch State Park or play a championship golf course before returning to your world-class resort or quaint country inn.
